Stress-Free Removals To Spain

Spain is a very popular destination for many British people who have holidayed there for years and decide to up sticks and move there when they retire. At Movers International we are well aware of this because we have been moving people to Spain for 30 years, and we do this so often that we have set up two depots in Spain, one in Malaga and the other in Alicante.  We run a weekly service and we can cater for any size removal. If you need small removals to Spain we can add them on as a part load on the next trip.

Of course, it goes without saying that as an international moving company we can cater for any size of removal, from a small box to a full house, or even a complete business if you are still working but have decided that you want to continue doing so in the warmth of the Mediterranean sun.

Many People Retire To Spain For The Weather And Easy Pace Of Life

Very many Britons go to Spain for their holidays, and once they have been, return again and again. The weather, the people, and the low cost of living make for a country where life seems so much easier than in the hustle and bustle of UK cities. Many people up sticks and move to Spain when they retire because the pace of life is slower, and they may even be able to take their UK pension with them.

If you are thinking about moving to Spain it is a good idea to learn some of the language before you do so. Spanish is not actually very difficult to learn -certainly a lot easier than Chinese or Russian! If you are moving for the weather, the south of the country is the warmest part, while the north has a temperate climate of warm summers and mild winters, much like southern England. However, the central part of the country does tend to switch from very hot to very cold.

When you are considering house removals to Spain, you need a company that has experience of moving people to the country. Removals to Spain can be tricky if you are up in the hills where there are very narrow roads, and Spain removals can be difficult for a company that doesn’t go there very often. Some of the better-known Spain removals companies make regular trips there every week or two, and they will be your best bet for small removals to Spain since they can add a few items on to their vans as a part load.

Portugal – A Wonderful Country For The Slow Pace Of Life

Portugal is a wonderful country in which to live, provided you enjoy a rather slower pace of life than you would have in London, Manchester, Birmingham, or any of the other big cities in the UK. Younger people, or those who want a career are probably going to find that it doesn’t have the opportunities that Britain provides, but it is ideals for people who have retired. The weather is great, and there are plenty of golf courses, and there is always lovely countryside in which to walk when you get away from the cities.

Compared with the UK, the cost of living is very low, and the price of housing is low too. There are actually some residency incentives available to foreigners moving into the country, and taxation is low as well, so there are many benefits. You can stay in Portugal for 3 months without registering, but if you are moving there you need to register at the local town hall within four months, when you will be given a residency certificate for up to five years. You need to show that you are employed, or self-employed, and can support yourself and your family. Once your five years has expired you can apply for permanent residency.

Of course, you will need to find a company that specialises in removals to Portugal or Algarve removals to Portugal which is the area to which many Britons flock. There are several such removal companies, but you should ensure that you choose one that has many years of experience moving people to the country so that your move goes without a hitch.
