Retiring To the Continent

Many Britons reaching retiring age decide to move to the Continent, a lot of them electing for France or Spain. This is because, in many instances, they have been there on holiday several times during their working lives and have fallen in love with a particular town or village. They may also have learned some of the language, so can feel comfortable conversing with the locals, and able to go shopping for daily needs.

If you are among them, and considering house removals to France, for example, what you will need to swot up on is the local rules and regulations. Most of them don't apply to you as a holiday maker, but if you are going to live there you have to abide by them. Fortunately, most of them are common sense, but they can still be very different from ours.

One of the things that you will need to do is consider removal companies to France and the actual cost of removals to France, which can be quite an amount if you are moving your whole house, your car, and so on.

The same thing applies to the cost of removals to Spain if that is your destination. The Spanish have certain rules and regulations about number plates if you are taking your own car, so that is something to check up on because if you are a Spanish resident you have to have Spanish number plates, no matter that your car is British, German, French, Japanese, or from anywhere else.
